Communication

We offer a range of strategies to gather the views of stakeholders:

* Circle time is established throughout school and is used to gather the views of pupils on important issues.

* Issues from Circle time are taken to the School council as appropriate.

* The School Council meet every half term with the Headteacher to discuss important issues and feedback is given to all pupils.

* Relationships are so good in school that children are confident to discuss issues with the Head and staff.

* Pupil questionnaires are used, analysed and actions taken.

* A meeting for parents, pupils and teachers is held at the beginning of each academic year to discuss progress and targets.

* A further parent/teacher/pupil interview is held in the Spring term to actively review and discuss progress in all areas of development

*During the summer term there is an opportunity to meet with teachers for discussion once the annual reports have been received. There is also opportunity for written feedback to teachers once parents have received reports.

* The headteacher operates an 'open door' policy where parents/pupils/stakeholders are welcome to make a mutually convenient appointment.

* Regular Governing Body meetings, committee meetings along with formal and informal discussions allow views and opinions to be expressed and information sought and shared.

* Members of the governing body are actively involved in school developments with specific governors linked to curriculum areas.

* Co-opted governors are actively sought to be members of the governing body with a view of the wider community

* All members of staff are fully involved in school self-evaluation and improvement. The head teacher is committed to an inclusive leadership style where staff contributions are listened to and valued.
