Do I have to send my child to school?

The government strongly encourages children and young people in eligible year groups to attend, so that they can gain the educational and wellbeing benefits of being in school (taking into account the guidelines around clinically vulnerable groups). However parents will not be fined for nonattendance at this time, and schools and colleges will not be held to account for attendance levels.

As a school, we support the right of parents to choose. We would ask that if parents do decide to send their child to school that this is done consistently. Parents who initially choose not to send their child to school can change their mind at a later date. Please inform school if this is the case.
